Because of the upsurge in R2 applications and certifications in Asia, SERI is conducting an R2 Auditor Training in Bangalore, India. The class is scheduled for March 28-30 and is limited to 15 participants. Cost is $400.
So far, 16 auditors have completed the new R2 Auditor Training course, and 89 are registered for upcoming classes in Michigan, Colorado, Florida and Bangalore, India. At this time, only the Bangalore session still has space remaining.
The training, which emphasizes group exercises and cases studies, was designed to simulate the audit experience. Instead of discussing the 13 Provisions of the R2 Standard in consecutive order, the training follows the sequence that would typically occur in a true audit situation. Auditors work on group and individual exercises and are expected to be active participants in the sessions. This format proved effective in training both new and experienced R2 auditors, and provided opportunity for all participants to ask questions, share experiences and learn from each other.
Future R2 Auditor training sessions will be posted in the R2 Update Newsletter and on the SERI website as details are finalized. To register for the Bangalore session, or to watch for upcoming sessions, please visit the Auditor Training page.
