Advisories are changes made by SERI to the Code of Practices (COP) to change the meaning, application, and/or intent of a requirement relating to the R2 Certification process. A COP Advisory is auditable by both the R2 Accreditation Body and SERI. SERI will soon be releasing new advisories regarding the following issues:
Certificate Scopes – Guidance on the terminologies that are not acceptable for use in R2 scope statements. The scope on the R2 certificate should clearly capture all electronics related activities and ensure that each has been audited by the Certification Body (CB) auditor(s). This advisory will also address scope changes and proper use of scopes for campus sites.
Auditor Code of Conduct – Outlines SERI’s expectations of R2 auditors.
Changes to R2 COP – An update of administrative changes and normative references that have occurred since the 2013 release of the COP.
SERI Package Review Actions – Describes the actions that will be taken by SERI based on SERI’s quality review of R2 audit reports and supporting evidence.
Facility Moves – Outlines the process to be followed by a recycler, CB, and SERI when a certified recycler moves from one location to another.
*Advisories can be found in the R2 Document Library, listed below the Code of Practices.
