As part of the certification and license application process, Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (dba SERI) asks for basic contact information about recycling facilities and one or more employees at those facilities. This includes the physical address of a facility, names of personnel, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and other relevant contact information. Also collected is basic information about the nature of a recycling facility, including what types of materials are processed and how.
Certifying Bodies, Consultants, and other third parties may collect additional information as part of the certification and audit process, not managed by SERI. Certifying Bodies may be asked to share information about a facility with SERI in accordance with the R2:2013 Standard and R2:2013 Code of Practices.
SERI publishes a list of current R2 Certified facilities on its website, using the collected facility contact information. SERI does not sell or distribute information about a facility's operations or personnel without permission.
SERI relies on third party vendors to manage data and/or process payments made for services provided by SERI. SERI adheres to the privacy requirements of these vendors, which are listed here:
SERI staff follow best-practices in handling personal information. In the event of a suspected data security incident, SERI staff will notify those affected in accordance with all applicable laws.
