SERI’s volunteer Board of Directors comprises a diverse group of individuals representing a wide range of stakeholders throughout the electronics lifecycle. The Board enables us to understand and incorporate the political, sociological, and economic dimensions – not just the environmental and technical – into the solutions we help craft. As we continue expanding our efforts in electronics sustainability, our Board continues growing.
Today, we welcome our newest Board member, Spencer Hahn. Spencer brings over a decade of experience in hyperscale data center technology and logistics to the Board, with a strong focus on sustainability and circular economy practices in the tech industry.
Spencer is a longtime logistics expert, spending the last 11 years at Amazon working in hyperscale data center technology. Most recently, Spencer led the team that established re:Cycle Reverse Logistics (RRL) as a standalone entity. RRL provides ITAD services to customers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), specializing in the secure testing, repair/refurbishment for reuse, resale, component separation, and recycling of used electronic equipment.
“I’m honored to join SERI’s Board of Directors. With the rapid pace of technological advancement, it’s crucial that we prioritize sustainable practices in the electronics industry. I look forward to contributing my experience to further SERI’s important mission.”
-Spencer Hahn
Prior to his time at Amazon, Spencer spent six years at Caterpillar, where he implemented and managed international logistics solutions to reduce cost and carbon for Caterpillar’s ocean network.
“We are pleased to welcome Spencer Hahn to SERI’s Board of Directors. His unique blend of experience in global tech operations and his proven track record in establishing sustainable practices at scale will be instrumental as we navigate the evolving landscape of electronics sustainability. “
