Q.   Can you expand on the Product Safety Plan requirements in Appendix C?

Appendix C (2)(c)   –  The first element of the product safety plan is to outline the processes for visually checking equipment for damage or other conditions that may affect product safety.  This could include checking for things like damaged or open casings on devices that could allow for exposure to electrical components; frayed cords; swollen batteries; water damage; corrosion; etc.

Appendix C (4)(d) –  The second element of the product safety plan is a process for managing items that are subject to recalls.  So, for instance, identifying the recalled items, segregating the affected devices from other devices, and outlining how they will be handled or dispositioned.
