The SERI Board is pleased to announce the appointment of 14 new members to the R2 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).

Following a highly successful call for new TAC members, over 100 applications were received, consisting mostly of recyclers, auditors, and consultants deeply engaged in R2 Certification. The SERI Board had the challenging task of narrowing down the list of prospective candidates to fill the limited number of TAC positions available. SERI must maintain a balance of representation between the three stakeholder groups to avoid any dominance issues that would violate SERI’s ANSI Accreditation for standards development. In addition to considering balance across the TAC stakeholder categories, the Board also considered diversity within the stakeholder categories, and broader representation from Regions around the world where the R2 Standard is used. All candidates had valuable knowledge, experience, and perspectives to contribute to the TAC.

As terms expire or members leave the TAC, the SERI Board will continue to add new members while balancing representation within and across the stakeholder groups. Those that have already applied will remain a candidate for consideration in future TAC appointments and need not reapply.

The R2 TAC is the forum for continued development of the R2 Standard. R2 TAC members are essential to maintaining the R2 Standard in an open, balanced, and consensus-based process. Joining the TAC are the following individuals:
